Description:Water flow sensor can be used to measure the flow of liquids, i.e. the consumption of liquids in industrial or domestic usage. For example you can make a robotic cocktail dispensing machine, and can use this sensors to accurately measure components like Soda, Water, etc. Water flow sensor consists of a plastic valve body, a water rotor, and a hall-effect sensor. When water flows through the rotor, rotor rolls. Its speed changes with different rate of flow. The hall-effect sensor outputs the corresponding pulse Signal.
I believe using this should be simple, you just need to connect to Arduino interrupt pin 2, and can measure the number of PWM pulse/interrupt per unit of time. The water flow would be directly proportional to the number of measured pulses.

Working Principle:An electromagnet is simply a coil of wire.  It is usually wound around an iron core.  However, it could be wound around an air core, in which case it is called a solenoid.  When connected to a DC voltage or current source, the electromagnet becomes energized, creating a magnetic field just like a permanent magnet.   The magnetic flux density is proportional to the magnitude of the current flowing in the wire of the electromagnet.
The polarity of the electromagnet is determined by the direction of the current.  The north pole of the electromagnet is determined by using your right hand.  Wrap your fingers around the coil in the same direction as the current is flowing (conventional current flows from + to -).  The direction your thumb is pointing in the direction of the magnetic field so north would come out of the electromagnet in the direction of your thumb.  DC electromagnets are principally used to pick up or hold objects
